Zelensky urged allies to strengthen air defense

According to inkorr.com: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed international partners with a request to strengthen air defense, based on the Ukrainian experience. This appeal became particularly relevant after Russian drones violated Polish airspace, as reported by agencies, including Reuters.

Zelensky emphasized that expensive missile systems, such as American Patriots, turn out to be ineffective in combating cheap drones. He called on other states to take into account the Ukrainian experience, where a domestic system for protection against Russian aerial attacks has already been created.

“No one in the world has enough missiles to shoot down all types of drones,” Zelensky noted.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed the intention to send troops for training in Ukraine to gain experience in destroying drones.

Sanctions package against Russia

As a result of the invasion of 19 Russian drones into the territory of the European Union, a sanctions package is being prepared in response to Russia's aggression. Currently, the process of preparing this package is underway. It is worth noting that during the massive attack on Ukraine on the night of September 10, strike drones penetrated Polish territory, prompting Polish military forces to react actively.

At a meeting held, a decision was made to strengthen air defense and effectively respond to threats from drones. Zelensky emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences and the alliance's readiness for new challenges in the field of security.

This call from Zelensky to international partners confirms the coordinated efforts of Ukraine and its allies in strengthening defense capabilities. Strengthening air defense has become a priority for numerous countries, especially in the face of growing threats from drones. The sanctions package being prepared against Russia also demonstrates the determination of the international community to combat aggression and support Ukraine in its efforts. In this difficult time, it is important to maintain cooperation and ensure the exchange of experiences to enhance security in the region.
