February Meeting Could Be Zelensky’s Key to Winning Over Trump.
Discussions on a Potential End to the War with Russia
According to UATV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed optimism about ending the war with Russia and discussed a possible meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, tentatively scheduled for February 2025. Political analyst Oleh Saakyan emphasized that such a meeting could shape the negotiation process and serve as a pivotal moment in strengthening Ukraine-U.S. relations. This comes at a time when Kyiv is seeking to secure continued American support amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.
According to Saakyan, Zelensky hopes to find a way to connect with Trump under the current circumstances. The analyst noted that this could unlock new opportunities for Ukraine on the global stage. However, he also highlighted the critical issue of making concessions during talks:

Possible Negotiation Scenarios
Saakyan further suggested an alternative approach that would involve 'holding all parties simultaneously accountable.' This could play a key role in negotiations, as, in the analyst’s view, 'it would logically force Trump to increase pressure on Russia.' As a result, the meeting between Zelensky and Trump could become a decisive factor in shaping the region’s future trajectory.
Talks between Ukraine and the United States, particularly at the presidential level, have the potential to significantly influence international policy and regional stability. A successful dialogue could bolster U.S. support for Ukraine, which remains crucial in countering Russian aggression. The situation continues to evolve, and the outcomes of these potential negotiations could dramatically alter the course of events in the months ahead.
