Winter support: Zelensky said how many Ukrainians applied for payments.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that on December 1, the 'eSupport' program started - providing a thousand hryvnias to Ukrainians. He mentioned this on his Telegram channel.
According to Zelensky, this is an important step to support our people this winter.
'Our 'eSupport' program has started - a thousand hryvnias for our people in Ukraine. This is for everyone: adults and children. On average, this is several thousand per family. With this money, you can pay utility bills, buy Ukrainian medicines, train tickets, and books. This program can also become a national donation to support volunteers for defense,' he noted.
Zelensky also thanked the government, the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation for the technical support of the program.
According to the president, over a million applications were received within the first half-day of the 'eSupport' program, of which nearly 300 thousand were for payments to children. He emphasized the need for government control over the work of all program systems to fulfill all promises and provide details of other support programs for this winter and the next year.
Earlier, it was reported about the opening of the 'National Cashback' card for Ukrainians.
