A woman reported the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - how she was punished by the court.


In Zaporizhzhia, a woman justified Russian aggression and disseminated information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She was held criminally liable.
This is stated in a issued by the Communarsky District Court of Zaporizhzhia on June 30.
Case Details
According to court documents, in April of last year, the defendant wrote to the administrator of a closed Telegram chat that there were Ukrainian servicemen in the production facility of the enterprise. The woman claimed that the fighters took over this workshop and were doing something there: perhaps repairing equipment. She also noted that the military consumes a lot of electricity, which causes delays in salary payments for workers.
Moreover, for several months, the accused left comments on Telegram channels in which she supported Russian aggression. In particular, she wrote that she regretted that the Russians did not occupy the entire territory of Zaporizhzhia region.
Court Decision
During the court hearing, the accused partially admitted her guilt. The woman stated that in November 2023, she wanted to go to Russia, where her relatives live, including a sick sister, but at Sheremetyevo Airport she was allegedly not allowed to pass due to her Ukrainian citizenship and pro-Ukrainian position. According to the defendant, it was after this that she began to spread pro-Russian comments in order to eventually move to Russia.
The accused's daughter confirmed that her mother has close relatives in the Russian Federation. She also added that her mother supports Ukraine, even donating to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The judge found the defendant guilty. For her actions, she will spend 5.5 years in prison.
In Zaporizhzhia, the woman was found to be spreading Russian propaganda and justifying Russia's aggression, which led to her being held criminally liable. She received a sentence of over 5 years in prison. Moreover, it was established that her motives were related to her desire to move to Russia, where her family members live, however, the court found her guilty of the actions committed.
