Housing prices in Ukraine skyrocketed by 16% in a year: what statistics showed.
Housing prices in Ukraine are rising rapidly. In the first quarter of 2024, they jumped by 16% compared to last year. At the forefront of this 'price revolution' are apartments in the primary market. These figures are provided by the State Statistics Service.
The price per square meter of housing in the country reflects prices in the market five times more vividly than the average annual inflation rate (3.2%).
Prices for apartments in the primary housing market are increasing by 17.6%, more than in the secondary market, which increased by 15.3%.
Other categories of apartments are also experiencing remarkable growth — one-bedroom apartments have increased by 17.8% (primary market) and 15.9% (secondary), two-bedroom by 17.5% and 15.2% respectively, and three-bedroom by 17.9% and 15.5%.
Patriotic health is also a result of the market conditions. Ukrainians are seeking various forms of real estate to fulfill their ambitions. In 2024, there was a rise in the popularity of the sale or transfer of property rights to land and real estate.
