Zlata Ognevich sharply responded to comparison with Ani Lorak: We are absolutely different.
According to ТСН: Singer Zlata Ognevich commented on the comparison with famous performer Ani Lorak. On the project 'Tour with Stars' it was noted that listeners might confuse their voices when closing their eyes. However, according to Zlata, their vocal qualities and styles are fundamentally different. The artist emphasized that they differ in timbre, performance technique, and overall vocals.
“People, have God in your heart! What Lorak? These are people who probably don’t even have ears. We are completely different, absolutely: in timbre, performance, technique, and vocals,” — the artist retorted.
Zlata also explained why these associations arose. A few years ago, Ani Lorak's song was used in a chocolate advertisement, and then it was replaced by Zlata Ognevich's track. However, there was no special promotional campaign informing about the change of performer. Therefore, many people still associate this song with Lorak.
“I know why there was such a persistent association among people. When the chocolate advertisement was out, and before that, Ani Lorak advertised with her songs, then when I started singing the song 'Passion', it was, in fact, also an advertisement for chocolate, and there wasn’t such a big promotional campaign. So people didn't understand who was singing this song. A new song just appeared, and no one emphasized that the performer had changed,” — she explained.
Zlata Ognevich also shared her plans for winter vacation, noting who she will travel with.
Thus, Zlata emphasizes the importance of individuality in music and notes that comparisons with other performers may be a misunderstanding. Her opinion on public perception and associations with other artists underscores the role of media in shaping the image of performers. These remarks may be useful for listeners who want to better understand the uniqueness of each artist's creativity.
