Heavy snowfalls and storms in the Republic of South Africa have led to tragic consequences. A minibus with schoolchildren was caught in a severe flood. The total number of passengers remains unknown, but three children were found alive. Rescue operations have been suspended for the night, but they are planned to resume soon. More than 500 thousand houses have been left without electricity due to the bad weather, which also led to the death of five people in a car accident. To avoid further tragedies, services decided to close roads in the provinces affected by weather conditions. Heavy snowfall also caused the stoppage of truck movement and the emergence of major traffic jams, while the meteorologist warned of difficulties for navigation at sea due to bad weather. The floods and downpours caused by the bad weather in the Republic of South Africa have triggered a series of tragic events that resulted in loss of life and significant challenges for rescue services. The bad weather also led to road accidents and complicated transport communication in the region.
