A teenager was brutally tortured in Odesa district: police investigate the crime.

A 16-year-old boy was brutally tortured in the Odesa district and this was recorded on video. However, the victim's sister reported to the police, and now the suspects face imprisonment.

The National Police of Ukraine reported this.

Details of the case

In one of the communities of the Odesa district, a group of individuals tied up a 16-year-old boy with sticky tape, after which they tormented him and recorded it on video. Police officers are working at the scene. Law enforcement is interviewing witnesses, seizing physical evidence, and establishing all the circumstances. Investigators are currently working with the suspects.

What punishment threatens

Information about the suspects has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 146 (illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping of a person, committed by a preliminary conspiracy of a group of persons) and part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (torture, committed by a group of persons). The suspects face up to 10 years of imprisonment.
