President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky handed the first batch of the latest drone-missiles 'Peklo' to the Ukrainian Defense Forces during the celebration of the Armed Forces Day.
The handover took place at an official event attended by high-ranking officials from the defense sector of the country.
New weapon for the Ukrainian army
The delivered batch consists of Ukrainian drone-missiles that are already ready for use and have started serial production. This new weapon has successfully passed tests and has five successful applications.
The 'Peklo' drone-missiles can hit targets at a distance of up to 700 kilometers and develop speeds of up to 700 kilometers per hour. The details and quantity of the delivered units remain confidential.
Effectiveness and cost
Experts note that the 'Peklo' drone-missiles are on par with individual types of Russian cruise missiles in terms of effectiveness, but have a significantly lower cost, which is an important advantage in wartime conditions.

Present at the event were President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskiy, Minister of Defense Rustem Umierov, Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, Deputy Minister Anna Hvozdar, and Advisor to the President on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshin.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky also presented the drone-missile 'Palyanytsia'.
