Fuel Shortages Plague Russian Forces as Ukraine Strikes Oil Refineries.
Declining Combat Effectiveness of Russian Occupation Troops
According to Novyny.live: A systematic campaign of fire strikes by Ukraine's Armed Forces—using drones and HIMARS systems—has significantly degraded the performance of Russian occupation troops on the front lines. This has led to a severe shortage of fuel in the Russian army, which in turn has slowed the pace of their advances.
HIMARS Systems Disrupt Russian Logistics
HIMARS launchers are being employed to hit logistics hubs and fuel depots located 100 to 200 kilometers away. According to Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps, the battlefield dynamics shifted dramatically after long-range weapons enabled strikes on Russia's oil infrastructure. He noted that Russian forces are now experiencing major fuel deficits, a fact underscored by Moscow's decision to halt aviation fuel exports until at least November 30.
Biletsky also predicted that a fundamental turning point on the front could occur within the next six to seven months.
Ongoing Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries have slowed enemy troop movements on the battlefield. These developments highlight the serious logistical challenges facing the Russian military in the current conflict.
The dwindling fuel reserves of Russian forces may severely limit their ability to conduct active combat operations, opening new opportunities for Ukraine's Armed Forces. Strikes on supply routes and energy infrastructure are helping Kyiv maintain strategic momentum and improving the prospects for successful counteroffensives.
These events underscore how modern warfare demands rapid adaptation and responsiveness to shifting conditions—a critical factor for both sides in this conflict.
