Strikes by Ukrainian Military Forces

According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine’s General Staff has reported recent military strikes by Ukrainian forces targeting Russian tankers, ferries, and an oil processing facility. Specifically, defense forces struck 10 Russian tankers and 4 ferries in the waters of the Sea of Azov. These vessels are used to transport Russian crude oil and petroleum products while bypassing international sanctions, highlighting the strategic importance of such attacks in weakening the enemy’s capabilities.

In addition, Ukrainian troops carried out a strike on a Russian train carrying fuel and lubricants near the occupied town of Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region. Simultaneously, on July 10, an oil processing unit was attacked at the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga refinery complex in Russia’s Leningrad region, which has an annual design capacity of approximately 8.5 million tons of oil.

Conflict Escalation

Amid these attacks, Russian forces also launched strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region. On the night of July 12, drones and artillery hit five districts in that area, underscoring the ongoing escalation of the conflict.

These Ukrainian military actions reflect a strategic effort to dismantle Russian logistics, particularly by targeting transport means used to evade sanctions. Such strikes could significantly disrupt fuel supplies for Russian military operations, a critical factor in the prolonged conflict. At the same time, Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian territory demonstrate that the war remains active and intensifying, further destabilizing the region.
