Overall Combat Losses Since the War Began
From the start of hostilities on February 24, 2022, through July 12, 2026, total Russian combat casualties have reached approximately 1,419,090 personnel. During this same period, significant equipment losses have been recorded:
- 12,120 tanks
- 24,928 armored fighting vehicles

Losses of unmanned ground vehicles have reached 1,883 units, underscoring the role of modern technology in contemporary warfare. Additionally, 403,959 tactical-level drones and 4,889 cruise missiles have been destroyed over this period. Russia has also lost 33 naval vessels and boats, 2 submarines, 119,038 trucks and fuel tankers, and 4,407 units of specialized equipment.
These statistics reflect the severe battlefield attrition faced by the Russian armed forces and the effectiveness of Ukrainian operations in countering the invasion.
Given the steady erosion of Russian military assets, it is clear that Ukraine's forces are maintaining both defensive and offensive momentum. This data reinforces the need for continued international military aid, as Ukraine's ability to sustain its defense remains critical amid prolonged aggression.
The situation on the front remains fluid, and the outcomes of these engagements could shape the future trajectory of the conflict.
