Ukrainian political science expert Igor Petrenko believes that Russian President Putin may refuse to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky. According to media reports, a possible meeting may take place in Hungary. However, the expert's opinion is that both sides are currently not ready for constructive dialogue as they hold opposite positions on the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.Petrenko emphasized that as long as the Ukrainian government is not ready to cede territories to Russia, Moscow demands concessions from Ukraine. He believes that pressure should be applied to the Russian Federation and that demands for compliance with international norms and laws should continue, as other methods may only prove effective in the absence of alternatives.
