Commissioner commented on the beating of a man by employees of TCK in Kharkiv.
In Kharkiv, possibly beating a man by employees of TCK and SP - said the ombudsman
In Kharkiv, a possible incident of a man being beaten by TCK and SP employees was reported. Dmitry Lubinets, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reported this in his official address.
To verify the information that appeared in the media, Oksana Chervyakova, the ombudsman's representative in the Kharkiv region, sent a request to the Kharkiv TCK and SP. The purpose of the request is to clarify the actual circumstances of the incident for a subsequent assessment of the situation.
The ombudsman emphasized the need for a prompt and impartial investigation of such cases. "In a country that is fighting for its independence, everything should be in accordance with the law, and if there are human rights violations, a proper reaction and accountability are necessary," the ombudsman noted.
Earlier, there were reports of an increase in illegal actions by TCK and SP representatives in Zakarpattia
It is worth noting that this is not the first such case. Earlier, Lubinets reported an increase in the number of complaints regarding illegal actions by TCK and SP representatives in Zakarpattia. In particular, there was information about the illegal detention and beating of a man, which led to his death. A criminal case under part 1 of article 128 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligent serious or moderate bodily harm) has been initiated on this fact.
