Stabbed Meeting: Volodymyr Zelensky Talks About the Situation After the Shelling

On August 26, 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a Stabbed meeting dedicated to restoring energy infrastructure after a massive Russian shelling. According to the president, the attack consisted of no fewer than 127 missiles and 109 drones.

The meeting heard reports from key officials: Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleshchuk, Interior Minister Igor Klimenko, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, and UkrEnergo Chairman Vladimir Kudritsky.

Zelensky reported that a detailed analysis of the effectiveness of air defense systems, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups has been carried out in each region. The condition of the engineering protection of objects was also considered. Decisions were made as a result of the discussion.

The president noted that the consequences of the shelling are being eliminated on the damaged objects, repair work and demining are being carried out. He emphasized that in some places Russia attacked civilian objects with cluster munitions, which requires sappers to work before the start of repair work by energy workers.

Special attention at the meeting was paid to the situation on the front. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky reported on the operational situation, in particular on the defense of Pokrovsk. Following this report, a decision was made to further strengthen this direction.
