10 days, and then a fine: car owners warned about an important rule.
Drivers reminded of an important rule
According to a report by the publication 'Khvylya', all car owners must register their vehicle before using it. Violating this rule may lead to fines. This requirement is mandatory for both individuals and organizations.
After purchasing or importing a car to Ukraine, the owner is given 10 days to complete the registration. If this deadline is not met, fines and restrictions on the use of the car may apply.
In particular, the following documents are required for car registration:
- passport with a registration mark and individual tax number,
- document confirming ownership,
- customs clearance documents (if necessary),
- certificate of compliance for new cars,
- receipts for payment of MIA services.
After completing the registration, the owner receives a license plate and a technical passport for the vehicle. Also, the possibility of online replacement of the technical passport through the 'Diia' service will be opened in the near future, which is currently undergoing testing.
Earlier, information about complications in the procedure for obtaining driver's licenses in the country was spread.
