The main success of Ukraine over a thousand days of war is that the state remains sovereign. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Anatoly Bargilyovich.
Look, for almost three years the enemy has not taken a single regional center. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are still strong, even against a very powerful opponent.
He reminded of successful operations such as the Kyiv defensive operation and the Kharkiv offensive operation, during which Kharkiv was liberated and allowed residents to return to the city. Bargilyovich also emphasized that the offensive was conducted even without numerical superiority and successfully repelled enemy attacks.
Apart from that, part of Luhansk and Donetsk regions were liberated, but they were unable to reach Kreminna. The defensive forces also successfully held back the enemy in the East.
In May, the Russian enemy planned to advance in the Sumy direction from the Kursk region, but it was outpaced thanks to the actions of the Defense Forces.
