According to The Sun: Little monsters are soon to be freed from school for the October break, and that means the start of the season of ghosts, spirits, and monsters.

The Halloween experience awaits you in palaces, castles, gardens, theme parks, and resort towns across the country.

We have prepared a dozen impressive events that are sure to lift your spirits this holiday.

HADDON HALL, DERBYS

Haddon's owls will appear in the banquet hall, and there will also be an exhibition about the rituals and superstitions of Elizabethan England, while in the restaurant you can taste themed food.

Ghosts and horrors have taken over Blenheim Palace.

Those seeking thrills will gladly visit the new trail – an exciting series of installations and encounters that become even scarier at dawn.

SPOOKTOBER, BUTLIN’S

Put on your best costume and join in the Spooktober fun at Butlin’s.

Take part in the Halloween festive party with a costume ball and disco at the Skyline Pavilion.

Classic fairground rides are hidden in fog and neon lights, with frightening elements lurking in the shadows.

HIPPODROME, GREAT YARMOUTH

Free fireworks, spooky nights, and a grand circus show – Great Yarmouth in Norfolk will become a Halloween hotspot.

The Hippodrome Circus offers a special show, featuring incredible acrobats, aerial artists, dance, comedy, and daring stunts from October 23 to November 2.

On October 29, there will be two simultaneous free fireworks and street performer shows along the seafront.

Pleasure Beach with 20 rides offers Fairground Frights nights, including scary characters and fear tunnels from October 25 to 31.

There will be plenty of witches, potions, and mischievous tricksters on the cobbled streets of the Edwardian era, as well as many treats in sweet shops, bakeries, and the Sun Inn Pub.

With delights at exciting attractions, and if you want to kick off your evening early, catch a Halloween movie at the 1950s cinema before exploring the museum.

ARACHNOBOT, BIRMINGHAM

The park's paths are decorated with massive pumpkins, with temptations wandering around.

In the park in Snowdonia, there are carving stations, costume contests for children and dogs, entertaining performances for families, and a spooky ride through the forest on the Green Dragon attraction.

There are 20 attractions, including Solar Splash with two 61-meter drops.

And from the viewpoint of Snowdon, there is a fantastic view of the longest mountain range in Wales.

CHESSINGTON, SURREY

It’s hard to find something better for family Halloween entertainment than Chessington World of Adventures.

The Howl'o'ween season features new thrilling shows and interactive activities, where you can see wizards and witches as well as mummified monsters.

The Halloween celebration at Blackpool Pleasure Beach includes a new fifth live horror zone called Abyss.

You will be greeted by the gatekeeper of the caves built in 1905 before being led further to face the horrors of the dungeon.

Other zones include the nightmare world of Alice in Wonderland, the lair of the bloody collector of wonders, a ghost train, and distorted tunnels filled with terrifying characters.

There will also be music, a witch parade, and a 2-meter werewolf roaming with ghostly friends.

And you will have the chance to take risks on the attractions after dark.

SCREAM TIME

In three locations across the UK, the new Halloween trail Scream Time is, as the name suggests, splendidly scary.

Sinister light installations with horror actors performing nightmarish roles at Margam Country Park in Port Talbot, Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire, and Wentworth Woodhouse in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

In three locations across the UK, the new Halloween trail Scream Time is, as the name suggests, wonderfully scary.

This is definitely not for the faint-hearted and is suitable for those aged 15 and older.

However, younger visitors can enjoy Spooky Time, a family trail with mild scares, carnival attractions, and face painting.

Don’t forget to stop by the Spooky Village for devilish food, drinks, and roasting marshmallows.

If the RHS can't grow remarkable pumpkins, then nobody can.

The gardening society of five gardens across the UK, showcasing a variety of autumn colors, offers numerous activities.

The exhibition 'The Secret Life of Pumpkins' includes trails, carving sessions, bug encounters, and unforgettable tales that children will love.

Bridgwater in Greater Manchester is hosting a zombie disco, while in Wisley in Surrey, garden author Jean Vernon is holding masterclasses on 'The Amazing Power of Pumpkins'.

Along with a fun program at Hyde Hall in Chelmsford, Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, and Rosemoor in North Devon, children can meet snakes, spiders, and snails.
