Anticipating Summer Ticket Surge, Ukrainian Railways Shares Booking Tips.
Rail Travel Demand Is Heating Up
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian Railways has issued a warning about soaring ticket demand for the summer season, noting that by mid-June, the system had already recorded 340,000 requests for travel documents. Amid this surge in activity, the company reported that 80 passengers have already used railway services. During the first week of summer alone, 472,873 people traveled by train, highlighting a strong appetite for intercity transportation.
Train No. 104, running from Lviv to Lozova, has also posted impressive figures, carrying over 13,000 passengers. Ukrainian Railways plans to transport 7 million passengers this summer, signaling a robust recovery in rail travel. To improve convenience, ticket sales will begin 20 days before departure, a move designed to reduce queues and ensure easier access to seats.
Support for Military Personnel and Their Families
Special attention is being given to military members and their families, who can access tickets from a dedicated reserve. This initiative aims to support those serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their loved ones. Given the rising demand, the company urges passengers to plan trips well in advance and stay mindful of ticket sale deadlines.
The summer spike in rail travel demand reflects a revival of domestic journeys in Ukraine, likely tied to improving conditions in the country.
Ukrainian Railways is actively working to ensure comfortable conditions for passengers, which includes not only advance ticket sales but also special programs for the military. These measures could help boost passenger numbers and enhance overall service quality in the rail transport sector.
