On the night of November 17, Russian terrorists carried out a massive shelling using various types of drones, including Shahed drones and missiles. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

'Cruise, ballistic, and aerodynamic missiles: Zircons, Iskanders, Kinzhal. In total, about 120 missiles and 90 drones. Our air defense forces destroyed more than 140 aerial targets,' Zelensky reported.

According to him, the enemy's goal was the energy infrastructure across Ukraine.

'Unfortunately, there are damages to facilities from strikes and falling debris. In Mykolaiv, as a result of a drone attack, two people died and another six were injured, including two children. My condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. Currently, there are de-energized areas, all necessary forces are involved in eliminating the consequences and restoration,' the message said.

Zelensky thanked the entire air defense force involved in repelling this attack: anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation - pilots of F-16s, Su-24s, and MiGs, mobile fire groups, means of recognition and localization of electromagnetic emissions.

It should be reminded that in the morning of November 17, Russian occupation troops carried out a massive launch of missiles of various types. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Haluschenko, later stated that Russian terrorists were attacking energy system facilities throughout the country.
