The 225th Assault Regiment Halted the Russian Breakthrough near Huliaipole: How It Was Accomplished.
According to ТСН: Military expert Kyrylo Sazonov noted that 'the Russians were already preparing to enter the city. But the command immediately redeployed the best troops.'
The Role of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment
A key link in stabilizing the situation was the 225th Separate Assault Regiment. Together with one of the mechanized brigades, they created a new defensive line and control an important section of the front. Thanks to these efforts, Huliaipole remains under the control of the Defense Forces, despite constant attacks from Russian troops.
The Regiment's Previous Successes
Sazonov emphasizes that this is not the first time the actions of the 225th Assault Regiment have thwarted Kremlin's offensive plans. The regiment supported the 'road of life' near Avdiivka, held back the enemy near Chasiv Yar, and was one of the first to enter the Kursk region.
The Unit Commander
Leading the unit is Hero of Ukraine Oleg Shyraiev ('Sirko'), an officer who, according to the expert, 'leads his fighters with an iron hand and has repeatedly demonstrated readiness to carry out the most complex combat tasks.'
'The front holds thanks to people who very professionally do their job. The 225th is exactly that kind of unit,' Sazonov concluded.
This context highlights the crucial role of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment in defending Ukrainian territories. The unit demonstrates a high level of training and resilience, contributing to the successful execution of tasks under the challenging conditions of the front. Such defensive successes once again confirm the importance of professionalism and coordination of actions among Ukrainian military personnel in the fight against the aggressor.
