Ukrainian Drone Forces Take Out 8 Russian Air Defense Systems and 19 Power Grid Nodes.

Major Strikes by Ukraine’s Military

According to UATV: On the night of July 20, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert 'Madjar' Brovdi announced a series of successful strikes. The operation destroyed eight components of Russian air defense, including:

• Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile systems
• Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile systems
• Kasta-2E2 radar stations
• Gamma-S1M radar stations
• Nebo-SV radar stations
• Nebo-U radar stations

Six of these targets were located in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, while the other two were situated in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region.

Energy Infrastructure Under Fire

In addition to hitting air defense assets, Ukrainian forces struck 19 power grid nodes across occupied territories and Crimea. Between July 1 and July 20, the Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted 104 substations and energy facilities, reflecting an aggressive campaign to dismantle the occupiers’ energy infrastructure. According to Brovdi, further strikes on the power grid are planned.

Separately, reports indicate that the Kerch ferry crossing lost up to 75% of its capacity during the first two weeks of July, pointing to serious logistical disruptions in the occupied areas.

These successful strikes demonstrate that active combat operations continue along the front line, alongside efforts to degrade Russian military infrastructure.

The elimination of air defense systems and energy assets will undoubtedly weaken the enemy’s combat effectiveness and logistics. The sharp drop in capacity at the Kerch crossing suggests a significant reduction in resource flows to occupied territories, which could have long-term consequences for the occupation forces.
