Ukraine’s Counteroffensive Operations

According to UATV: Ukraine’s defense forces are conducting successful counterattacks along the southern front, enabling territorial gains and forcing the enemy to lose ground. In recent days, Ukrainian troops have stepped up their counteroffensive efforts aimed at weakening enemy positions.

On the southern axis, these counterattacks have reduced the number of sectors where Russian forces were attempting active offensives—from 13 down to just 6 or 7. This shift reflects growing pressure on the adversary and the effectiveness of Ukrainian military actions in the region.

Ukrainian defenders have also achieved localized tactical successes on the southern Donetsk front. A notable milestone is the advance of Ukrainian troops to the area south of the settlement of Poddubne, strengthening the army’s strategic foothold there.

Commenting on the situation in Donetsk Oblast, Denys Popovych noted: 'The main focus of combat events has shifted to the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk sectors.'

Popovych also pointed out that 'the enemy’s priority remains the complete capture of Donetsk Oblast. On all axes, the Russians are employing the same tactics.'
