The lawyer explained what is needed to cross the border with a deferment from mobilization.
Ukrainians were told what documents are needed for crossing the border by persons who have a deferment.
Lawyer Andrey Karpenko stated that in wartime, the issue of crossing the state border of Ukraine is highly relevant. Special attention is paid to the rules of departure for individuals who have the right to deferment from mobilization.
According to the report of the State Border Service, upon departure fromUkraine, strict rules for document verification apply to men of conscription age (18-60 years). Border guards necessarily check military registration documents, which can be submitted in both paper and electronic format.
If a citizen cannot provide a military registration document, they will be denied crossing the border. Departure will also be prohibited if a person is on the wanted list according to the Unified State Register of Draftees, Military Liable, and Reservists. In such situations, police officers are called to the border point, who detain the violator and deliver them to the nearest territorial center for recruitment and social support.
As for men who have the right to cross the border due to a deferment from conscription or exclusion from military registration due to health reasons, their military registration documents must indicate information on receiving such a deferment or exclusion. Alternatively, there must be a certificate in the form specified in Appendix 6 of the Procedure for Conscription of Citizens for Military Service during Mobilization in a Special Period, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of May 16, 2024, No. 560.
Also, to cross the border, the person needs to have a military registration document (MRD) with a current mark for deferment from mobilization or a valid certificate from the territorial center for recruitment and social support (TCRSS), clearly indicating the end date of the deferment. If the term of deferment has expired, the departure will be denied.
Recall that Ukraine will tighten the requirements for booking from mobilization.
