Passenger traffic to Ukraine increased before the holidays: nearly 155 thousand people recorded at the border

According to ТСН: Passenger traffic to Ukraine increased ahead of the holidays. In the last day, about 155 thousand people and 28.5 thousand vehicles were processed by border guards at the crossing points on the border with EU countries and Moldova.

According to the State Border Guard Service, nearly 15 thousand more people arrived in Ukraine than left.

This increase in passenger traffic is linked to the approach of the Christmas and New Year holidays, causing many Ukrainians to wish to return home. As a result, there are queues observed in some directions both for departure and entry.

“To avoid discomfort when crossing the border, we recommend monitoring the workload of crossing points in advance and, if possible, choosing directions with less vehicle congestion,” the Ukrainians were urged.

It was also previously reported about the restoration of the ability to cross the state border with Moldova and Romania for passenger and cargo transport through a number of crossing points.

This information indicates an increased traffic at the border, which will be particularly felt during the holidays. Ukrainians are eagerly anticipating meetings with relatives and friends, so the situation with queues may continue to concern travelers in the coming days. It is important to stay informed about the current conditions for crossing the border to avoid possible delays.
