Which region of the Russian Federation supports the war in Ukraine the most: survey.

According to the survey results, residents of Moscow, who have not suffered from Vladimir Putin's aggression against Ukraine, are the most supportive of continuing the war (58%). However, up to 60% of the provincial population is in favor of peace negotiations. These data became known after a survey by the «Levada-Center», conducted for the «I Want to Live» project.

Almost half of Russians believe that Putin's decision to start the war has brought death, grief, and suffering. 47% of respondents noted that the war has caused more harm than benefit, especially highlighting the loss of lives, general grief and suffering, and the worsening economic situation. Only 28% believe that the war had positive results, which is 10% less than a year ago.

The number of those who believe that the war was successful for Russia is also decreasing. Since the beginning of the year, this indicator has dropped from 70% to 60%. However, support for prisoner exchanges in Russia remains high - 87% of respondents support such an initiative, and another 7% consider it a permissible condition for a peace agreement.

It is worth noting that, in the Kursk region, Russians broke through to the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and are unsuccessfully trying to attack Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk region.

As reported, Russia is once again facing a labor shortage. In the third quarter of 2024, the country experienced a record personnel deficit.

It should be noted that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico believes that the likelihood of the end of the war in Ukraine in the near future is «very high».
