According to UATV: Azerbaijan is currently facing a wave of coordinated disinformation and cyber attacks, according to Hikmet Hajiyev, an aide to the country’s president. He stated that the nation has become the target of relentless false narratives and misleading content.

“We have become the target of intense attacks from disinformation and false information,” Hajiyev said.

“Fighting disinformation is not easy, but we must speak the truth.”

In response to these threats, President Ilham Aliyev has ordered the creation of a National Cybersecurity Agency.
