Andriy Biletsky on negotiations with Russia: what will force the Kremlin to real talks.
Negotiations to end the war
According to Novyny.live: Andriy Biletsky, the commander of the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressed his opinion in an interview with 'Fakty ICTV' on how to force Russia to engage in real negotiations to end the war. He noted that Ukraine needs to create a stalemate situation for Russian troops on the battlefield that would render further advances impossible. Biletsky emphasized that there must be an 'adequate price' to achieve peace.
In his speech, he also highlighted that the Russian army has slowed its advance on the front line, and that winter could become a decisive period. According to Biletsky, if Ukraine can withstand through the winter, hold off the enemy's advance in spring, and undermine their plans for Donbas, the Kremlin will have substantial reasons to move towards serious negotiations to end the war.
Diplomatic initiatives
This topic was also raised by Volodymyr Zelensky, who announced a planned meeting with the Russian delegation in a week. Danylo Hetmantsev added that the situation on the front could facilitate the improvement of the negotiation process. Thus, the Ukrainian side continues to seek ways to achieve peace, relying on military achievements and diplomatic efforts.
In the context of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, the comments of Andriy Biletsky and Volodymyr Zelensky underscore the importance of combining military actions with diplomatic initiatives. Winter could become a critical moment when successful Ukrainian defense may force Russia to reconsider its positions. Planned negotiations could be a key step in finding a resolution to the conflict, and Ukraine's military achievements may strengthen its positions on the international stage.
