The airport announced the changes on social media. It states:

“As the first airport in Poland, we are lifting liquid restrictions on hand luggage! From today, you can carry liquids in containers up to 2 liters without removing electronics and cosmetics.”
“And all thanks to 10 modern CT scanners working at the checkpoints. The new CT scanners create 3D images of luggage and allow for its digital unpacking.”

The chairman of Krakow Airport, Luka Strutyński, noted that it is expected to reduce security check times by “almost 30 percent.”

The airline has scheduled flights from November 27 to December 21, which will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

This winter season, Krakow hosts a large Christmas market at Rynek Główny Market, which was recognized last year as one of the cheapest in Europe by Post Office Travel Money.

A year ago, Iona Cleve visited the market and described the city as “alive” in December. She added:

“Snow was falling as we strolled through the world-famous Christmas market, happily enjoying pints of beer.”

She also noted:

“You can spend hours wandering through a 13th-century trading hall and numerous wooden stalls offering everything from filling items to glass sculptures, enormous fur hats, and antique gun models.”

Krakow is a European gem located less than two hours from the UK, where you can enjoy beer for £1.50 and find flights from £29 in the fall.
