No less than seven climbers, including five foreigners, have died due to an avalanche that struck the base camp of Yalung Ri in Nepal on Monday morning. Currently, four Nepali climbers who were working at height remain missing as rescue operations continue under severe weather conditions.A team of 15, which included climbers from France, Canada, Italy, and Nepal, was undergoing acclimatization before summiting the peak.This tragedy serves as yet another reminder of how dangerous mountains can be, even for seasoned climbers. Avalanches remain one of the greatest threats in the mountains, and such incidents underscore the importance of adhering to safety during expeditions.
