Civilians Wounded in Sumy Region Drone Attacks
According to Novyny.live: On February 4, 2023, a series of Russian drone strikes targeted Ukraine's Sumy region, resulting in civilian casualties. In the Znov-Novhorodska community, a hostile drone struck a civilian vehicle carrying a man, a woman, and their daughter. The 66-year-old woman sustained severe injuries and required hospitalization. In the Seredyno-Budska community, a 42-year-old man was wounded and is receiving outpatient treatment. These attacks are part of a wider pattern of strikes on civilian areas far from the front lines.
Additional strikes were recorded against civilian infrastructure in the Shostka and Trostianets communities. Oleg Hryhorov urged residents not to ignore air raid sirens, emphasizing the critical need for vigilance. In related incidents on the same day, an explosion was reported in the Odesa region following a missile attack, and the town of Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast was shelled, with a local market sustaining damage.
These events demonstrate the continued escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, leading to new casualties among the civilian population. — Oleg Hryhorov
The attacks on peaceful communities underscore the persistent dangers faced by local residents and highlight the necessity of adhering to safety protocols. During wartime, it is vital to heed all danger alerts and remain aware of threats that can arise at any moment.
