Medical professionals conducted a monosegmental liver transplant. This is the first such operation in Ukraine from an adult to a patient of this age. Doctors from "Ohmatdyt" consulted with their colleagues from Japan and Korea to choose the optimal approach.
"Ukrenergo" prepares for the hardest winter in the last three years
"Ukrenergo" is developing several scenarios to withstand the winter of 2024-2025, which is already being called the most difficult. This was announced by the interim head of "Ukrenergo" Oleksiy Brecht.
Brecht stated: "Three options, including the worst-case scenario - continued mass shelling of infrastructure, transmission networks, generation facilities, and so on".
As a result of Russian shelling in the spring, Ukraine lost 9 GW of generating capacity, a significant loss. "Ukrenergo" has a plan to restore this capacity.
Drone attack on Kyiv, casualties reported
On the night of October 30, the enemy shelled the capital. As a result of the drone attack, the second and third floors of a nine-story building in the Solomianskyi district caught fire. The fire was extinguished over an area of 40 square meters.
Due to the firefighting, 18 people were evacuated, and 30 people were brought to fresh air. One person was rescued. Nine people were injured.
Ukraine's chief intelligence officer attends church services and prays
Ukraine’s chief intelligence officer Kyrylo Budanov is a devout person, an Orthodox Christian, who attends church services whenever he has Time. This was reported by the head of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kostiantyn Kholodov.
According to the chaplain, Budanov prays for the victory of the Ukrainian people over the enemies.
