Emergency Crews to Receive 20,000 Hryvnia Bonus: Eligibility Criteria.
Bonus Payments for Emergency Repair Crew Workers
According to Novyny.live: Starting in February 2026, workers on emergency repair crews will be eligible for a monthly bonus of 20,000 hryvnias on top of their base salary. This is part of an updated experimental project, which now extends the payment period to five months, an increase from the previous four-month limit. This initiative is part of broader government efforts to support essential workers during a period of national recovery.
Eligibility for the additional payment is granted to workers engaged in emergency restoration in the following critical sectors:
- The fuel and energy complex
- Housing and communal services
- Railway transport
The measure is designed to support personnel performing vital functions within these key areas of the economy.
To apply for the bonus, workers must log into the 'Diia' portal and submit an application between the 6th and 15th of each month. It's worth noting that this is not the only support program currently active. For instance, 25,000 teachers are also set to receive monthly supplements of 4,000 hryvnias, and there are plans to raise the salaries of family doctors to 35,000 hryvnias.
Support for Various Social Groups
This broader support program encompasses 230 municipalities, home to approximately 6.6 million citizens. This scale highlights the state's commitment to aiding various social groups and improving working conditions in essential sectors.
The bonus payments for emergency repair crews represent a crucial step in supporting those who work under critical conditions, especially amidst ongoing economic challenges.
The program not only provides financial aid but also underscores the importance of these professions for the country's infrastructure stability. Its expansion to include other social groups, such as teachers and medical workers, signals a government aim to ensure social equity and support key workers across different economic sectors.
