What to do in Guernsey?
This island offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities, as the average summer temperature is around 20°C and you can enjoy up to eight hours of sunshine a day. Upon desembarking on the ferry, you’ll arrive in St. Peter Port – the capital of Guernsey, where a picturesque harbor and many boutiques and historical landmarks await you.
Among them is Castle Cornet, guarding the harbor for over 800 years and now functioning as a museum. Guests can also try classic British dishes at the Thomas de la Rue pub, rated the best on the island by TripAdvisor. Here they offer, among other things, a Piggy Bits platter for £19.90.

After relaxing on L'Ancresse beach, ideal for swimming, you can engage in active sports such as windsurfing or kayaking. The beach has parking on both sides and a small shop for light snacks.
For those wishing to enjoy stunning views, a visit to Candie Gardens is recommended, offering breathtaking views of the city and harbor.
Guernsey's popularity is rising
According to BBC, over three million viewers recently saw a feature about Guernsey on French television.
“This type of exposure helps keep Guernsey in the minds of those we are trying to attract for the long term, as well as those who have not yet visited the island”, – said Zoe Gozling, chief marketing officer of the island.
Guernsey has become the most popular summer destination for Britons, surpassing well-known places like Phuket in Thailand with a 63% increase and Seville in Spain with 59%.
Travel trends
Analysis shows that Britons are becoming more cautious with their spending, choosing city breaks and eco-friendly destinations.
“Our data clearly indicates that British tourists are guided by a complex combination of climate, cost, and consciousness”, – said Elizabeth Hogg from Holiday Extras.
In 2025, other destinations such as Tokyo, Male, Agadir, and Enfidha are also likely to remain popular and attract the attention of travelers from the UK.
