More than a year considered missing. Let's remember Serhiy Kozachuk.
Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember 52-year-old sergeant Serhiy Kozachuk, who died on May 8, 2024, in the Pokrovsk direction. Only after a DNA examination was the warrior's body returned for a dignified farewell. Serhiy Ihorovych Kozachuk was born on November 27, 1971, in Rivne. He studied at Rivne General Education School No. 16 and obtained the profession of electrical device settings technician at Rivne Vocational Technical School No. 5.

At the start of the war, Serhiy did not wait for a summons and on the second day went to the recruitment center independently. On March 6, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, Sergeant Serhiy Ihorovych died in the Pokrovsk direction on May 8, 2024. Only now, after the DNA examination, was his body returned for a dignified farewell.
The farewell to the defender took place on June 4 at Independence Square in Rivne. The sergeant was buried at the 'New Yard' cemetery.
Modern Ukraine honors the memory of fallen heroes, among whom was Sergeant Serhiy Kozachuk. He remains in our hearts as an example of dedication and patriotism, inspiring respect and memory.
