Ukrainian 'Black Forest' Brigade Destroys Russian MiG-29 and Pantsir-S1 at Airfield in Kursk Region.
Strike on Khalino Airbase
According to UATV: On July 21, the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade, known as 'Black Forest', carried out a successful operation at the Khalino airfield in Russia's Kursk region. The attack destroyed a MiG-29 fighter jet valued at $25 million and a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system worth $20 million. This operation highlights Ukraine's continued ability to strike high-value Russian military assets deep inside Russian territory.
Enemy Losses
According to the latest reports, over the past 24 hours Ukrainian defenders have eliminated:
- 1,370 Russian troops
- More than 400 vehicles
- 92 artillery systems
- Two air defense units
These figures reflect intense combat and substantial enemy casualties.
The Khalino airbase operation and the destruction of significant equipment and personnel underscore an escalation in frontline fighting. The elimination of key military hardware—especially aircraft and air defense systems—could severely limit Russian capabilities in the region. These developments highlight the ongoing intensity of the conflict and the critical need for sustained support from both sides to achieve strategic objectives.
