According to inkorr.com: BRICS leaders expressed support for continuing dialogue on the war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza. This decision was made during an online meeting on September 8, which was attended by the leaders of China and Russia.

'The parties agreed to maintain communication on such hot issues as the 'Ukrainian crisis' (as BRICS refers to the Russian war against Ukraine) and the conflict in Gaza', the message states.

During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on the importance of effective work of the 'Group of Friends of Peace' at the UN, which was established last year at the initiative of China and Brazil, to address the 'Ukrainian crisis'.

International Trade Issues

One of the key points of the meeting was the resistance to increased tariffs from the US. The head of China urged for enhanced cooperation, protection of the international trading system, and a joint fight for an international order based on law.

President Xi Jinping made proposals: to protect the UN and the international order, support multilateral trade with the World Trade Organization at the center, and actively cooperate for common development.

China also expressed its intention to continue cooperation with BRICS countries within the framework of the Global Development Initiative and the 'Belt and Road' project.

The meeting of BRICS leaders confirmed their readiness to work together to resolve global conflicts and to protect the international order and trade. Special attention was paid to supporting peace in Ukraine and countering increased tariffs from US allies.

Thanks to this meeting, BRICS leaders demonstrated their unity on important global issues, reaffirming their intention to jointly tackle the challenges facing the international community. Similar events may serve as a foundation for further dialogue on conflict resolution and the development of international cooperation.
