British Airways cancels flights from London to New York: from which airport
British Airways is canceling one of the popular long-haul routes from the UK.

According to The Sun: The airline will cancel the main route – between London Gatwick and New York (JFK) – later this year.

British Airways is canceling this route as of October 25, although it usually ceases for the winter season.

Only Delta and Norse Atlantic will continue offering the route from Gatwick.

Instead, Britons will have to fly to London Heathrow, where there will be nine flights to New York every day.

In addition to British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, and Delta also operate flights to New York.

Other airlines, including Norse, are also canceling a number of flights to the US, including the London Gatwick-Miami route.

But there is also good news, as British Airways is increasing the number of flights on some routes.

This applies to the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, where flights will now operate year-round, not just in winter.

This means that the airline will serve six flights per week in winter and add 60,000 seats for passengers wishing to fly to Bangkok next summer.

British Airways has also expanded its code-sharing with Bangkok Airways, meaning passengers can now more easily connect to other destinations, including Phuket.

There will also be an additional weekly flight to Kingston, Jamaica, increasing their total to four per week for the summer of 2026.

As for the US, some destinations will receive more flights.

A double daily flight will be restored from Heathrow to Miami International Airport and a daily flight to Dallas-Fort Worth will also be added.

Flights to Las Vegas from London Heathrow will increase from 10 to 13 per week.

There will also be 14 flights to San Diego and Austin each week.

British Airways will also launch a daily flight from London Heathrow to Bahrain in the Middle East, doubling the total number of flights per week.

There will also be flights to Saudi Arabia, with five flights per week to Jeddah and 14 per week to Riyadh.

After the cancellation of the popular London - New York route, British Airways is expanding the number of flights on other routes such as Bangkok, Kingston, and various cities in the US. This will provide passengers with more travel options for the summer of 2026.
