Sicily, Italy
Sicily, often referred to as the 'toe' of the Italian 'boot', is the largest island in the Mediterranean. Here, you can find seven Greek temples, Mount Etna – one of the tallest active volcanoes in Europe, as well as sprawling beaches with white sand.
“Sicily is a wonderful place to enjoy the Dolce Vita,” said crew member Andrea Barbagallo. “I particularly love Catania for its authenticity. The fish market in the morning is a must-visit, as there are fresh seafood, cheerful locals, and amazing street food.”“She also added: “For sunsets, my favorite spot is Acitrezza, a small fishing village by the sea. Etna is great for hiking, and there are wineries that offer fantastic food and wine.”
Tbilisi, Georgia
Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is known for its quirky architecture located in the picturesque valley of the Mtkvari River.
“This vibrant, sunny city has character, perfectly blending history, culture, and beautiful landscapes,” noted senior officer James Boyes.““The National Botanical Garden is a peaceful place that is often overlooked,” he added. He also recommended enjoying dinner at the Mtatsminda Park restaurant after taking the funicular.”

Naples, Italy
Naples is the third-largest city in Italy, known for its history and the famous Vesuvius.
“A bit chaotic but very charming,” said first officer Marco Passfield. “It’s the perfect base for the region: a short train ride takes you to Pompeii or the Amalfi Coast.”
He also recommended Pescheria Azzurra restaurant for enjoying seafood and the Grand Hotel Vesuvio for an incredible view of the bay and Vesuvius.

Olvera, Spain
Olvera, located in Cádiz, resembles a fairy tale with its 'white villages' perched on dramatic hills.
“This is probably one of the most peaceful places I've ever stayed,” said crew member Edouard Birien from Heathrow.
“This classic Andalusian white village is situated on a hill with breathtaking views in all directions.”

Rome, Italy
Rome, often referred to as the 'Eternal City,' boasts over 2800 years of history, including Vatican City – the smallest independent state in the world.
“It’s very walkable and offers a fantastic mix of ancient history and delicious food,” noted flight manager Chris Rizzi.
One of his favorite places is Trastevere Square, where many affordable dining options are available.

Geneva, Switzerland
Geneva, located on Lake Geneva, is famous for its stunning views best observed while boating.
“The Swiss Alps are the cleanest and most beautiful mountains,” said trainer Marjolein Van Det. “One of my favorite activities is taking the Gsteig-Sanetsch cable car up to Lake Senin.”

Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is a vibrant city with many cultural and historical attractions.
“Warsaw has so much charm, and the people are very friendly,” noted Nikki Wilks, a member of the Heathrow crew. “I once stumbled upon an Italian restaurant Chianti and had one of the best meals of my life.”
