US Delegation Visit Sparks New Hope for Peace Talks, Says Ukrainian Official Budanov.
Outlook for Peace Negotiations
According to Novyny.live: Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has expressed optimism about fresh possibilities for peace negotiations with Russia, despite a current lack of high-level contact. He confirmed that technical consultations between the sides remain ongoing and announced an upcoming visit by a US delegation to Ukraine.
Budanov acknowledged that talks have stalled but made clear he disagrees with that state of affairs.
“Negotiations are currently suspended—I do not share that position,” he emphasized. The presidential office chief voiced hope for resuming dialogue:
“I believe in this process, no matter what.”
Europe’s Role in Peace Efforts
Regarding the peace process, Budanov noted that Europe must be involved, but so far there is no unified stance among European nations. He also stated that there is no confirmed information about a possible truce for the Trinity holiday.
It is worth noting that the international forum 'Security Architecture' is addressing various regional security issues, and prisoner exchanges continue. These matters remain pressing amid current events and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace. Budanov’s remarks underscore Ukraine’s ongoing pursuit of diplomatic solutions to the conflict, despite the challenging circumstances. Europe’s participation in the talks highlights the global impact on the region and the need for aligned positions among international partners. The US delegation’s visit could open new avenues for reinvigorating dialogue and advancing peace initiatives.
