Joint Ukrainian-Polish Operation Exposes Russian-Linked Group Organizing Anti-Ukraine Protests.
Uncovering Anti-Ukraine Demonstrations
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's Security Service, working alongside Polish law enforcement, has uncovered a network of individuals who coordinated anti-Ukraine rallies across the European Union at the direction of Russian intelligence agencies. According to the investigation, five staged protests took place between 2025 and 2026 in the cities of Warsaw and Wrocław. These events were designed to sow discord and spread anti-Ukraine sentiment abroad.
Participants in these rallies were promised payments ranging from $100 to $200 USD. The probe has identified 11 people linked to these activities, including two Belarusian nationals and nine Ukrainian citizens. Notably, handlers based in Russia oversaw the organizers' actions, highlighting the cross-border nature of the plot.
International Response and Law Enforcement Collaboration
Those implicated have been deported to their countries of origin. These events underscore the ongoing efforts by Russian intelligence to destabilize Ukraine and neighboring regions through orchestrated anti-Ukraine protests. This case also demonstrates the growing effectiveness of cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish authorities in countering disinformation and hostile actions.
The exposure of this group signals a strong deterrent to anyone considering organizing similar campaigns, as law enforcement agencies remain vigilant. It further reinforces the critical need for international partnerships to maintain regional stability and security amid heightened geopolitical tensions.
The response to these rallies may serve as a warning to other potential organizers that such activities will not escape the attention of authorities.
