Budanov on the Oreshnik missile: We will not be able to intercept it

According to inkorr.com: Kyrylo Budanov, the head of military intelligence of Ukraine, discussed the new 'Oreshnik' missile and Russia's rearmament program in an interview with the Apostrophe publication.

Budanov confirmed the reality of Russian armament: 'This is not a psychological operation. This is a real weapon that exists.'

He noted that the 'Oreshnik' missile (project 'Kedr') is a medium-range ballistic missile with hypersonic characteristics. 'Unfortunately, this is quite serious weaponry, a serious threat to us. We will not be able to intercept it,' Budanov added.

Among other things, he expressed doubts about the possibility of placing the missile in Belarus: 'Russia can launch missiles from its territory without worrying about deploying them in Belarus.' Regarding the chances of shooting down the 'Oreshnik' from Europe or the U.S., he stated: 'Theoretically, you can try, but the result is unknown.'

Russia's rearmament program: a long-term threat

Budanov emphasized the importance of recognizing the long-term nature of the threat posed by Russia's rearmament program. 'If you do not feed your army, you have to feed someone else's,' he noted.

We remind you that on the night of September 7, Russia conducted the most massive airstrike on Ukraine during the war.

In this interview, the military expert focused on the 'Oreshnik' missile, emphasizing the seriousness of this threat. The long-term consequences of Russia's rearmament program were also discussed. Budanov expressed doubts about the feasibility of deploying missiles in Belarus and regarding the ability of other countries to destroy them. The interview demonstrates the need for a cautious approach to new military challenges and an awareness of the long-term consequences of the Russian arms program.
