Norse Airlines Cancels Six European Routes: Where Flights from London and Paris Won't Go.
According to The Sun: The Norwegian low-cost airline is cancelling six budget routes from Europe to the USA.
According to aviation expert Sean, the London-Miami route will be discontinued from October.
This route, which takes about nine hours and costs only £275 round-trip, is the only one that connects London Gatwick and Miami. Now travelers will have to fly to Miami from London Heathrow, which will cost more - around £405 round-trip with alternative options from BA and Virgin.
Along with the London-Miami route, several other European routes have been cancelled by Norse Airlines. These include Berlin-New York, Paris-Los Angeles, Paris-New York, Oslo-New York, and Athens-Los Angeles.
However, there is good news as the airline plans to launch more flights from the UK to Asia and Africa. Last year, Norse started flights from London Gatwick to Cape Town, with increased demand leading to the addition of extra flights to this route. Starting with three flights a week, the number has increased to six, which will operate until May.
They also plan to launch flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok later this year - from October 26 with four flights a week at prices starting from £203 each way.
The travel editor assistant of the Sun newspaper, Sophie Swietokowska, recently visited Bangkok to share her thoughts. Additionally, a woman who moved from the UK to Cape Town shared her experience.
