Waiting for one – another arrived: Zelensky on meeting with Slovak politicians.
President Zelensky's meeting with a delegation of Slovak parliamentarians
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with a delegation of Slovak parliamentarians led by Michal Simecka. During the meeting, issues of energy cooperation between Ukraine and Slovakia were discussed. Zelensky emphasized that it is important for this dialogue between the countries to strengthen the peoples of both nations, rather than the influence of Moscow. The president expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to achieve mutual understanding with the Slovak side and to address issues of energy security and geopolitical certainty.
Conflict between Zelensky and Fico
In recent times, the dispute between the President of Ukraine and Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini continues to escalate. Zelensky expressed his dissatisfaction with Fico's attempts to shift the blame for the situation onto others, using PR and loud accusations. It is worth noting that Fico's government operates with a minimal majority in parliament due to the departure of several deputies. The Slovak side is currently coordinating the date for a meeting with the President of Ukraine, which is set to take place in the coming days.
