Center for Countering Disinformation reported on the movement of North Korean soldiers in Russia.
North Korean soldiers who were stationed in the Russian Far East have been moved deeper into the country's territory. This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, on his Telegram channel.
«There is a movement of DPRK military from the Russian Far East deeper into Russia. I remind you that Russia plans to use Koreans initially in the Kursk region», – noted Kovalenko.
Recall, North Korea sent missiles and troops to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine. In exchange, Pyongyang requested technologies for tactical nuclear weapons from Moscow. This was reported by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov.
According to Budanov's forecasts, the first North Korean troops will arrive in the Kursk region today, October 23, to help Russia repel the Ukrainian Armed Forces' advance on Russian territory.
Earlier, Budanov stated that about 11,000 North Korean infantrymen are currently stationed in eastern Russia, undergoing training to participate in combat actions in Ukraine.
As reported, North Korea sent pilots to the Russian Federation who can fly on Russian military aircraft.
Meanwhile, North Korea rejected accusations from South Korea and Ukraine that it is sending soldiers to fight on Russia's side in the war against Ukraine, claiming that its relations with Moscow are «legitimate and based on cooperation». The relevant information about troops in the DPRK was called «groundless rumors».
By the way, Russia may send North Korean military for winter assaults on Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region or other important front sections in eastern Ukraine. This version is reported by The Guardian.
