Through the Protest of Poles, Carriers Massively Avoid One of the Border Crossing Points.

Transportation Across the Border: Polish Carriers are Seeking Other Routes
Polish carriers are massively refusing to wait in line to cross the border at the Yagodyn crossing point due to protests. This information was shared by the State Customs Service, as reported by the 'Glavkom' portal. Instead of usual routes, they are choosing other crossing points on the border between Ukraine and Poland.
The carriers blocked the international automobile crossing point Dorohusk-Yagodyn, limiting truck traffic to one per hour in both directions. The protest began on May 12 at 16:00. Over 12 hours, only eight trucks were allowed to exit Ukraine, while 205 vehicles were recorded entering.
The electronic queue, which yesterday counted 1391 vehicles, has almost halved and now stands at 789 cars in the morning. Carriers are no longer waiting in line to enter Ukraine, they are choosing other routes for movement, - the customs service reported.
Polish carriers explained their action as dissatisfaction with working conditions and income. They blame their Ukrainian colleagues for lowering transportation rates and pushing them out of the market. It should be noted that since November 2023, there has been a blockade of the Polish-Ukrainian border due to protests by farmers and carriers.
In February 2024, Polish farmers began large-scale protests against the import of Ukrainian products to the Polish market, blocking roads for trucks. This restless situation is just one of a series of protests on the Polish-Ukrainian border in recent years.
