Koyn restaurant, located in the prestigious Mayfair area of London, officially closed its doors after opening in 2022.
This was already the fifth establishment for Samyukta and her father Dinesh in the upscale area.
The restaurant was famous for its exquisite Japanese and Thai cuisine, prepared by former Nobu chef Riz Kettermull.
Father and daughter announced the closure on social media:
“Koyn will close its doors for the first time on Saturday, September 27. It’s hard to say goodbye, but we fondly remember the unforgettable journey through the flavors of Japan and Thailand.”
“The beginning was a bold harmony of Japanese elegance, which became even stronger with Thai fire. While we say goodbye to Grosvenor Square, the spirit of Koyn will live on, ready for new spaces and new stories that we eagerly await.”
It is also known that Koyn Thai, another project of the Nair family, plans to relocate. This news came after Samyukta and her Michelin-starred chef partner closed another restaurant after only two years of operation.
Socca restaurant in Mayfair, which gained fame for its French dishes, closed its doors on November 30.
“A great sadness overcame us as we decided to close Socca. I had a tremendous pleasure working with Claude on this project.”
