Have refugees from Ukraine adapted abroad: interesting research data.
According to recent data, 64% of Ukrainian migrants have not adapted to life in other countries and plan to return home. However, the exact Time of return has not yet been established, reports Gradus Research.
The study notes that Ukrainian migrants have different attitudes towards returning to Ukraine, depending on their level of adaptation and other factors.
«In crisis times of war, new and existing factors emerge that may stimulate Ukrainians to consider possible relocation abroad. At the same time, Ukrainian migrants have different attitudes towards returning to Ukraine, depending on their level of adaptation to life in the countries of temporary residence or other factors», the study says.
According to the survey results, the greatest desire to return to Ukraine is expressed by migrants who work remotely for Ukrainian companies (70%) and those who are temporarily unemployed (68%).
Also, the decision to return to Ukraine is influenced by the experience of aggressive behavior of other citizens towards migrants. About 23% of respondents admitted that they had encountered negative incidents.
At the same time, 60% of respondents believe that staying abroad guarantees them personal safety, and 65% feel safety for their children. This is a key factor deterring them from returning.
Nevertheless, more than half (62%) cannot indicate the exact time of their return.
For 36% of surveyed migrants, financial support during the return plays a significant role, and for 33%, the ability to find housing with a high level of safety in Ukraine is important. For 27% of respondents, one of the factors for return is the strengthening of air defense in the country.
The survey was conducted via a questionnaire method in the Gradus Research mobile app/online platform. The sample reflects the population structure of cities with over 50 thousand inhabitants aged 18-60 by gender, age, size of settlement, and region.
By the way, in Germany, the EU Talent Pool platform is being created, where citizens of non-EU countries will be able to find jobs in 27 member states, including Germany.
