Ukrainian dispelled the myths about Albania: The cheapest, but the most beautiful country in Europe.
According to ТСН: Oleksandra, a Ukrainian who recently visited Albania, shared her impressions on Instagram, calling this country "the cheapest, but the most beautiful country in Europe."
She debunked common stereotypes about dirt and danger, noting that prices in Albania are roughly the same as in Ukraine, while the landscapes can be compared to those of Switzerland and the French Riviera.
Contrast of beauty and affordability
The tourist was impressed by the contrast between the stunning landscapes of Albania and their affordability. She compared the local mountains to the Swiss ones and the blue water to that of the French Riviera.
"Prices, attention, are like in a cheap town in Ukraine"
Despite other bloggers mentioning danger and dirtiness in Albania, Oleksandra assured that she "didn't see any dirt at all."
In her opinion, the real "danger" lies in the potential rise in popularity of the country, which may lead to increased prices.
Ways to reach the resorts
Oleksandra also noted one significant drawback of Albania— the absence of an airport in the main resort. She suggests two optimal ways to reach the resort town of Saranda:
-
Through the capital: fly to Tirana (the capital of Albania), and from there take a bus to Saranda.
-
Through Greece (brilliant option): fly to the Greek island of Corfu, which is very close to Albania. From there, you can take a ferry in just an hour.
"This is genius. You will also visit Greece along the way"
It is worth mentioning that previously a Ukrainian woman living in Vienna for three years talked about the unexpected downsides of life in the Austrian capital.
Albania is becoming increasingly popular among Ukrainian tourists due to its affordability and natural beauty. Bloggers are increasingly sharing their travel experiences to this country, highlighting its potential as an interesting tourist destination.
