Strawberry prices have started to decline: Ukrainians are shown how much their favorite berry costs.
Strawberries, which have always been a favorite berry among Ukrainians, are becoming increasingly affordable this season. Unfortunately, compared to last year, prices have noticeably increased.
According to the Minfin portal, the average price of strawberries in May 2025 is about 259.90 hryvnias per kilogram, which is significantly higher than in May 2024 — 147.20 hryvnias per kilogram.
However, this does not stop Ukrainians from actively buying fresh strawberries despite the rising prices, as reported by 'Hvylya'.
The price dynamics of strawberries over the past few months shows standard seasonality: after peak values at the beginning of the year, when the price reached 550-600 hryvnias per kilogram, the cost of berries decreases with the arrival of the Ukrainian season.
Consumers are advised to carefully choose their berries, paying attention to their freshness and origin. It is better to buy strawberries in the morning when they are freshest.
Also, it is worth remembering that pork prices have recently surged in Ukraine. It is important to monitor the pricing policy in the market.
